Olamim Family School
an INtergenerational Shabbat Learning program weaving Latin & Jewish Cultures
Who: Families with children ages 4-8 with ties to Latin and Jewish peoplehood. Extended family always welcome!
When: Eight Saturdays from September to May, 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. (Kiddush included)
9/13, 10/11, 11/8, 1/10, 2/7, 3/14, 4/18, 5/16
Where: Bay Area locations (based on interest).
Languages: Bilingual (Spanish/English), and exposure to Hebrew vocabulary.

Learning arc
Olamim Family School is a play-based educational program that blends nature connection, cultural expression, and community-building. Sessions will include joint learning, but will also feature parallel learning for adults and children. Our program builds from year to year, such that families can join any year and learn something new. We will spend the 2025-2026 program year focused on the middot (qualities) and mitzvot (actions) that make one a positive bearer of culture and member of an intergenerational community:
Fall/Winter 2025: Being a Mensch (Kavod / Respeto / Respect)
Spring 2026: Counting on Community (Shutafut / Contribución/ Contribution)
Cost
$1,150 for a family of 3.
$1,400 for a family of 4 or more.
Abuelitos/as and tios/tias are always welcome at no additional cost.
Get a discount! Family leadership is a key part of the intercultural Olamim experience! Families who choose to co-lead or host one of our eight program sessions will receive a $150 discount.
We strive to make our programs accessible to all interested families. Please ask about aid should you need additional support to participate.
